The Arcadia Village Golf Commission consists of five to nine members and was developed to promote usage of the park golf course that has been badly underused. Starting in January 2009 the village residents entered into an informal agreement with Village Management whereby residents would be responsible for certain maintenance consisting of applying fertilizers, paying for application of pesticides by an outside agency, and ant control after setting a per household fee. The fee for 2010 is $100 per golfing household. Additionally, the commission is responsible for establishing a set of rules for course usage and enforcement, limited to informing village management of violations.
Currently there are nine commissioners that have agreed to serve for at least one year. If any chose to resign, the commission, as needed, will consider replacements.
